Similar to the relevant clause under the Employment Ordinance, 10 weeks' full-pay maternity leave will be granted provided that the officer has no less than 40 weeks of continuous service immediately before the date of her commencement of maternity leave. The maternity leave may start on 2 to 4 weeks before the expected date of confinement.
She may refer to Civil Service Regulations 1297 - 1298. Afterall, she better consults the Personnel Registry of her department for details.
