(2) Eat - Foods courts in (1) " 老巴剎"; (2) Departments stores at "Orchard Road" (ie our Nathan Road); (3) Curry foods in "Little India", very cheap. (4) "Chimas" - many restaurants and the place is very nice at night; (5)
Play - Foot message, books and movie are cheaper than Hong Kong. Shopping at Orchard Road.
(3) I personally feel that Santosa is quite boring. The place like our Ocean Park but with very old fashioned games. Can go for a walk. There are two hotels there, (1) Shanghai-la is very old; and (2) The Spa resort (forget the name) is very nice but also quite expansive.
Foot massage is very popular. You can found them at most of the shopping mall.
Just remember the "Merlion" (ie the Lion head fish body) is also a very place to visit. There are a lot restaurants. Suntec city, Marine square are around there.
You could go for shopping at Suntec city and do foot message at Marine square, then go for a walk to "Merlion". They are all at walk-distance. Then have dinner there or go to have seafood at the Eastcoast.
I would say the price for shopping is almost the same as Hong Kong. ie not cheaper than here.
And their fashion is a bit old fashioned than HK's. Unless you want to buy those summer stuffs than you might find somethings good.
On the other hand, their foods are cheap especially in the food courts, indoors or in the shopping malls. Their quality is good so no need to very "high" restaurants.
And "Mohamed Sultan" is also a very famous place for clubbing. "Mohamed Sultan" is the name of a road and I personally like there very much.
Also, "Clarke Quey", there are many bars and restaurants open at night but a bit commerical.
You could take taxi to these places. The taxi fare in Singapore is cheaper than in HK and Singapore is very small so normally from here to there was about 15 mins only.
