actually, if the doctor prescribed antibiotics for our child, we should follow his instruction. he is using his professional knowledge to treat our child.
i know many parent do not want to take so many medicine (esp. antibiotics) , so am i.
but, if the child is getting infection, i would rather follow the doctor instruction, otherwise, i fear it will prolong the child suffering and length of illness.
and your child was getting otitis media, i would suggest you should give your child antibiotics. you could not bear the risk of complication of otitis media.
My son has 中耳炎 everytime when he catch a cold. He took courses of medication.
The doctor said because the water from the nose goes up to his 中耳 so his 中耳 always stuck with water. The doctor suggested we put a tube in his ear to help lead the water out. I am not sure if I should do it because my son need to stay in hospital for a night for this small operation. He is just 3 years old.
