A Filipino maid had her contract already expired in late Nov. Someone was kind enough to take over her for a short term so that she can stay in HK till late Dec and look for a new employer. This DFH will be returning to Philippines for 3-week holidays.
I wish to engage her. She said that she could arrange for employment visa (go to Philippines Consulate & Immigration Department) on her own (instead of through agency).
Shall I sign the employment contract (ID407) without ascertaining whether she is physically fit (medical check-up) ?
Shall I accompany her to Immigration Department so as to speed up the application ? I want this DFH to be available not later than Feb 2006 (before my EOD)
Shall I need to pay her any money at this moment ? PPilippines to HK Air ticket, 領事館費用, etc.
