Not sure if they have been changed now but me and some of my friends did have very unpleasant experience before.
Please note the points below:
a)
pay attention to the contract expiry date as they would increase the service fee substantially right after the expiry of your previous contract.
They said they did inform me by my ICABLE email which I never checked
b)
they require to use the specific form from their company and won’t accept the cancellation simply by writing, which I fail to understand as many banks do accept writing for credit card cancellation or other service
c)
you have to inform the company one month in advance, but if after the expiry of you previous contract and you fail to do the cancellation one month before expiration, that means you have to pay at least one month “high” service fee.
After calculations, you might think it’s not worth for the cancellation
d)
you have to hand back the modem and other equipment to them at specific service centres, not sure if it should be doing within office hours.
As the above, 好麻煩…會令你好唔開心, 好勞氣, don’t do it during your pregnancy.
For my case, I have been trying to cut their service since expiry of my first contract but which was unsuccessful until I moved to my current flat which could not accommodate their service as my landlord had altered some structure of the flat.
But still, they had to come to my home twice and following by numerous question.
If I do have a choice, would never use their service in the future, unless they change their practice.
Good luck.
