I have been 陪審員 before. My case is the murder case in Tai Po, a group of young people killed another young kid outside of 7-11.
By the time I went to 選, there were about 70-80 people waiting in the room. During the lucky draw, I was chosen as the 2nd one. I needed to stand up and let the lawyers from both sides to "look look" my face, they could reject if they think I don't suit the role, but unluckily, both lawyers did not reject me, so, I needed to be the 陪審員. My case had 50-60 證人, so, the judge estimated it will take 8-10 days to close the case. But since nearly all the 證人 changed their 證供 suddenly, it ended up there was no more reason to continue the case and we stopped at 4th day.
I think this is a fun experience, and again, I got paid for the daily allowance
