if you are the only witness to complain and you had fill the food complain form and willing to be the witness of the case, the Prosecutor will proceed the case if the evident is enought to sue the defendent. But defendent will employ lawyer to fight against the law and pledge not guilty. Then you are the only witness and you should go to court to answer their question.
Before that, FEHD will sent letter to your co-address tell you what is the progress and the court date.
2. and if it is a must for you to go to court, Government/defendent will check whether you had criminal record or a releaialbe witness.
3. your name and or the record you fill in the complaint form will copy to the defendent company. I.e. the whole world will know who are you.
The time of processing a case depends on how many case the court had to handle. As 1 court need to process many case. Not only FEHD waiting. About 1/2 year to 1 year. And depends on whether defendent pledge not guilty or not. Some case had proceed 3-4 times to court and extend and extend ....
Or next time you can choose not to be the witness, if you think the court procedure is so complicated. Then FEHD will send warning letter to the company if they found the case is true. Instead of putting to court. because if FEHD lose the case, defendent will claim the court fee. e.g. Wellcome, Park'N shop for over $5,000,000. So case will only be prosecuted that are beyond reasonable doubt!
