i am planning to have c-section and i will give birth 2 weeks prior to my expected due date. so i am actually having 前0後10 + 1 week annual leave rite after the maternity leave. i wish i can spend more time with newborn and prolong the breast feeding period. i hope everything goes smoothly as planned.
if 2+8 is the best option you can go for, then i would say, take it. cos i think we both need more time to get recover and to learn how to take care a new born baby.
as long as you can maintain a good condition (balanced diet and enough rest and exercise), 2 weeks before is not a problem, i think.
so take good care and get your partner to share the house chore.
