Upon reading reviews I decided to buy this expensive pump to take to my daughter-in-law who is a teacher in Southeast Asia. When I arrived, we were horrified to discover that the only way we could get it to work was with the batteries. Upon contacting Medela we were told that this model does not operate anywhere outside the US. Who knew??? We had to buy a battery charger and rechargable batteries which cost an additional $60.00. Moreover, milk backed up into the tubes. Medela will send new parts but unfortunately, because of poor mail service, my kids won't be able to get them until they return home next summer.
