I wonder if it's safe to renew her after the 4-year contract as most people told me that filipino maid will change her attitude to 180 degree after renewal as nearly $12K could be received when she is fired. Besides, it's not hard to find another contract for them with working experience her in HK.
However, I'm quite annoyed if a reliable maid could be found so easily!

I'm going to renew my Thai maid's contract. This will the 3rd one. I do not hesitate to renew the contract with her.
The major reason is I don't want to panic as she is good to my boys and the household work is fair.

I also have the same experience. The second contract of my Indonesian maid will be expired on early May this year. She treats my daughter very good and can handle the household smoothly. However, she has many personal (mobile) calls :tongue:
I am now wondering whether I renew her 3rd contract or not. I cannot make sure that I can find another maid who is good to my daughter. However, I need to pay the long service payment if I renew her.
