Chinese usually have a smaller jaw so that the wisdom teeth always impacted and have a poor contact with the tooth in front ( ie tilt ). Pain may come because of 1. food impaction---->caries. 2. poor clean------> gum swelling. For the teeth which can erupt properly and be cleaned properly-----> no problem.
