I made mistake by taking too many things in my last 14 days trip in August.
I am going on a 2 week business trip again end of this month to US, this trip will be 14 full days (i.e 10 full business days, 2 full weekends)
My itinerary would including:
1. 3 days attending/working at a high-level conference
2. Business-meetings/seminars/presentations etc Mon-Fri 8AM-to-5PM (where I would be expected to wear suits)
3. Dinner/drinks with board members in the evening ~7PM. “Dress code” would be business-casual/semi-business-casual.
4. Weekends for “team activities”
I will also be carrying my lap-top.
I am however trying to fit everything into a carry-on bag. Can you give me an idea of what my packing list would be for this 14 day business trip?
I was thinking of including at least include 3 business suits, and 2 cashmere twin-set (light-weight) and nothing for casual, except will wear jeans and long-sleeves tee on the plane. 5 set bra and underwear, PJ, trenchcoat in case it is cold in the evening.
One pair of black shoes (I also want to take a pair of beige shoes), a black leather bag for meeting clients, a few shawls/scarfs. I am exercising every day and don't want to skip, so also want to pack gym clothes & sports shoes, exercise help relieve the stress of business travel.
1 Chanel little black jacket (basically can match everything)
1 Marni dark color jacket
1 Black pants (cashmere/wool blended)
1 Black pants (wrinkle free from Giorando Lady, I love this!)
1 TSE cashmere twin-set (light purple)
1 J Crew bright color cashmere cardigan
1 Prada black cashmere cardigan
2 Banana Repulic short sleeves tops (black / white) can match everthing
1 silk short trenchcoat by Victoria Beckham (Hand carry)
1 pair black shoes
5 set bra and underwear
Last trip - mid-August summer (for 2 weeks):
1 black/white Joan & David linen/cotton short jacket
1 black/grey Banana Republic silk/cotton 3/4 sleeves cardigan
1 white baby cashmere cardigan J Crew
1 beige lace top
1 white lace cotton top from Theory
1 Black pants, wrinkle free from Giorando Lady
2 Banana Republic short sleeves tops (Black / white)
1 silk short trenchcoat by Victoria Beckham (no chance to wear)
1 Joseph baby cashmere big shawl
1 pair black shoes
5 set bra and underwear
This is the Banana Republic tops that I bought in the US, I have black color and white color, highly recommend as it can match with everything. I bought petite in the store and the lenght is perfect:
Is it your first business trip? Why do u limit yourself in number of suitcase? If u go to US, business attire is usually long sleeves. I will at least bring 3 pairs of shoes plus sneakers for workout.
For business trip to US, either rent a car or have car service. No hassle to bring 2 suitcases.
I travel very often but mostly in Asia and within one week.
You can see that I did not pack that many in my last 2-week trip, but still have 2 tops that I did not wear. So try to see if I can get some insight here. Thank you.
It is troublesome to bring 2 suitcases, and I don't plan to shop there.
I know it is getting cold there, perhaps will just pack long sleeves instead. Shoes take-up lot of space, so I will limit to one pair only - as I only wear black pants.
