My Philipino maid (32 years old) will finish contract on 13 Aug after working for me for 4 years, taking care of 2 kids (now 5 years old and 1 year old). She wants to go home for 2-3 months if possible because she promised her husband to stay with the 2 daughters for a while before coming back to Hong Kong to earn money again to support the kids' education (she wants to put them in good private schools). She can do this because she doesn't have a lot of financial burden at present, as she have saved up some money during all these years with us and I am also very generous to her and give her rewards and presents on special occasions.
A truly good, honest and reliable maid whom I have no hesitation to recommend. As I need to work and cannot take 2 months' leave at home waiting for her to come back, I have another maid working for me right now and therefore I will release her in end of July after deducting her 17 days' annual leave. She worked for several Japanese boss in Cebu and is neat and tidy when it comes to housework and can cook Japanese food like sushi and tempura. Her previous Japanese boss always calls her and sends her presents during Christmas and birthday and you can tell how good she was. But Chinese cooking is only average and you have to tell her what to buy/make if you are very picky on food. Very hardworking and can take care of kids from new born. Good English and always read the books for my son and coach his homework. My son is very attached to her even she is very strict to him and scolds him sometimes but definitely will not hurt my kids. When my kids get sick, she looks after them during the whole night without sleep, which I feel very touched. The only shortcoming is that she is quite emotional, cries easily and pulls a sad face whenever her family members get problems, husband or daughters not behaved...etc. My mother-in-law cannot speak English and did not get along with her and said she always pulls a long face to her but luckily we are not living together. But overall we have kept a very good relationship and she always turns to me for friendly advice whenever she's got problems. Of course for the past 4 years we had disagreements over work or views on matters but every time we could resolve it without hard feelings. A can talk and can work type of personality.

I fired 2 Indonesian maids before my existing maid and encountered all the troubles of hiring bad maids and that is why I treasure my relationship with her and I am willing to take the trouble of introducing her. So please don't query my intention when I recommend someone whom I considered honest and trustworthy in personality and satisfactory in terms of work output. I also made myself very clear that my maid is not perfect and please see it to believe it.
I would like to interview her. My expected delivery date is Sep and I want to have an Indonesian maid to help. She only needs to take care of myself, my husband and my newly born baby. So her starting date in late July or Aug is a perfect timing for me.
