What happened with my bun bun?

My bun bun suddently gave me a resignation letter at10:00pm. I felt shocked. I have been directly hired her from Phi whose is introduced by my friend's maid since eight months ago. She takes care my 15 months baby and my mother is living with us. Honestly, We treated her as my family member although I have not spend so much time to communicated with her after my whole day work. I think I am a resonable employer:
1 full pay salary
2 day off on every holiday
3 offfer her enough food and rest time
4 let her using mobil phone after her work
5 Po po shared her some of the burden in taking baby
6 give her lucky money in new year and persent on her birthday
7 she eats what we eat
8remind popo should not blame on her before fully understand what happened
However,she said she cannot work under a pressure of setting a view cam,but we have not set up any veiw cam at home but she has signed the agreement in the agency that she was allowing us doing this. Besides, she felt hurt that we blame on her in front of our friends.(especially her relative 's employer) but we just have some casual talk with our friends to exchange our experience in hiring maid. If she has really some big mistakes, we had told her directly and politely.
Finally, I said she can give me a final discision on this coming Thu.
Do you know what is my bun think about?

唉..你個bun真係麻煩呢。

大家朋友一定會有交流關於工人的performance，大佬呀，你俾錢請她的，都還要睇你面色？你又唔係係人面前炳她，都係comment下她做成點，咁都唔得？點解咁要面？唉...

她既然一早已經知道會有camera，那麼這個已經唔係excuse來的啦。算吧，她都係大小姐一名，無做野經驗的，又或者來hk係生活體驗吧。

我覺得佢係藉口.....不過你覺得你對佢好, 佢又未必係個種feel, 佢亦可能搵到第二個employer....好多原因

唔好太就工人, 佢想得寸進尺jel....我fd 對個工人仲好, 典g 一簽完second contract, 變臉幾快, 我fd 仲要 佢面色tim

don't think so much. she wants to resign, just let her go. my previous yan also resigned by herself, I, like you also ask her to rethink. then she said she will continue to do. but after about one week, she resigned again and I ask her to rethink again. Back and forth, 3 times she said she didn't want to do. In the meantime, of course, her performance was no good as I think her "heart" is no longer here and at the work. At last she suddenly disappered one day for a few hours and then came back and said didn't want to do again. So I take her resignation as I understand "免"強無幸福 亦無謂為左一個工人令自己咁煩。佢亦不是做得咁好，佢唔做亦大把人可以請。If your maid submits resignation to you, even u can keep her this time, I don't think she will do long. This shows that she doesn't treasure her job and the job is not v. important to her.

So I suggest you to find a new one but if you have problem in taking care family without her in the meantime of waiting the replacement, you can try to discuss with her on her last day of work. But of course, provided that you and her relationship is not so bad.

Totally agree, my previous maid also suddenly gave me a resignation letter after holiday (worked for me around 2.5 years). She said her mother was serious ill and nobody took care her she must went back to Philippines within 40 days??

I don't know is it the main reason or just take it an excuse only. Frankly speaking, I treat her like a family member, seldom scold her but sometimes she will show back face to me. I promise to give her extra holidays to go back first to check the situaiton, however, she only want to resign, so at last I find another one from Philippines (with oversea experience) as I don't want to hire any maid already working in HK, usually, they are very trouble, lazy, too smart, tell lies and even borrow a lot of money from finance cos.

So, take it easy, may be this time you can change another one is more better, because most maid after finish her 1st contract, she always perform not up to our standard.

I think the main reason is that your mother live with you then she can not does whatever she want. I found many full time mothers or family living with old people have the same problem. However, they use another excuse for reason of resignation.

Thanks for all your response.
Today, we asked my maid how about her final discision. However she said she will give us the answer on this coming Sun since she cannot contact her husband to discuss this event. But this time she changed her reason of her resignation which is because her own family problem. I feel this situation is like my nose have been leading by her and we really don't know what's wrong with her.
Anyone can give us some advice. Big thanks.

Let her go and make sure she sign all related documents (witness by agent).

No matter what is the reason to make her resign, you must let her go anyway.

You directly hired her, so she has no burden of giving commission to agent, so she may make an easy decision to leave because of some reasons. I'm thinking if she had made the decision "too easily" without deep thought. If you consider her to stay, I think you may try to talk to her on her real situation/problem and see if it can be solved, then you judge to ask her stay or not.

由得佢走啦，跟本就係玩你，要同老公傾點解要等星期日，跟本就係同班friend傾點同你bargain，你留佢響身邊，盞佢以為自己好重要，以後佢大把條件開比你，要你聽佢話。依家你叫佢即刻寫封辭職信比你，睇佢寫唔寫。初初我工人同我講佢要走，我都以為我唔掂，點知一樣過得好好，你仲要有老人家幫手，快手換個聽話的仲好。

Tonight, my bun bun gave me a resignation letter.We felt very shocked is she requesting to leave tomorrow. She is willing paid us one month salary. We have no choice.Anyone had the same experience? Last week she said she will leave after one month. All her reasons are very unrelevant.We just guess: 1 she lent a loan 2 she has a new employer 3 she has a serious family problem.
Pls give me some advices and I feel so hurt and lost right now.

佢要走又肯賠錢的話，你咪又得佢走，不過佢應該要等你出機票，咁你就記住出張機票比佢，唔好比錢，趁呢幾日未到復活節，機票無咁貴快d送佢走。另外你可以請住本地工人又或者試下去agent搵現成工人，有d可以即刻上工，不過你唔好信曬一間，通常一間都係得三幾個現成工人，試多幾間，總會搵到個好的(現成工人要去入境處搞一輪手續，所以頭個幾月出唔到保險，仲係犯法，不過唔滿意可以即走，雙方都無責任，睇你自己搏唔搏)。以我的經驗，本地完約的賓賓又串又煩，我搵左兩個都比佢地跣，你不妨考慮印，應該好少少。
