Please be careful when you recommend program or shows to others. Do you believe that Jesus told Judas to betray him?

I don't think this TV program is worth recommending to others at all. It may cause the weak to doubt Jesus' faithfullness. We should be careful not to cause others to stumble.

I feel the same way you do. I am just wondering the purposes of Jokey2828 introducing this program here in this forum if he is a Christian.

So, I have been to that site to have a look, see anything is positive. Well... conclusion is, NOT GOOD when the Faith is not strong enough.

Know more is good, but if one is weak he will fall in these kinds of feature articles.

Christian that have study more in their religion might know that, when the Bible is formed, a lot of books are not included. It was not hidding away secrets, only that it was believed that the content was not written under the spirit of God.

100% Agree. Knowing more is good, but when one is weak....

It is not easy to stand firm in these days. We really need to study the Bible by heart, and follow HIM strictly.

The article on Gospel of Judas by National Geographic is about an archeological discovery of the Gospel, and a study of how Gnostic thinking at that time affected the early Christian belief. I cannot figure out how brothers and sisters would stumble and fall by reading the article.

Even if Judas were not a betrayer, as is depicted in the Gospel, what would happen to the Christian faith? Would they stop following Jesus?

I apologize if I use words too strong. I don't mean to accuse, but to warn Christian to be careful with what what we recommend.

I won't recommend people to watch the "Gospel of Judas" the same way I won't recommend anyone to read "The Da Vinci Code".

"The Da Vinci Code" is a fiction, is not true, but it causes people to doubt the integrity of the Bible. It is ok for mature Christian to read them, so they know how to defend themselves when challenged. However, they are not to be recommended readings.

Mature Christians will never doubt the truthfulness of the Bible just because of these, but the weak and the unbelievers. If Judas is not the betrayer, the Bible is not true. It states clearly in Matthew 10:4 that Judas betrayed:
Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

A lot of Christinas are working very hard to spread the gospel, to convince unbelievers the Bible is the true words of God; God is love; God is faithful. These books confuse people, and simply make our life harder.

That's why I also posted a " Response" to the article in 台灣基督新報

which someone already criticized his article might has caused confusion to Christian.

Actually, I initially want to delete 台灣基督新報's hyperlink after I read thoroughly what it was written. However, I thought somebody might have already read; so better make it up by linking up a comment to this article.
