Concerns about honey:
1. Unpasturised honey contains Clostridium botulism which can cause paralysis in baby. This is quite uncommon, given most honey on the market have been pasturised.
2. Allergy - this is the main reason why pediatricians don't recommend feeding honey to babies < 1 year old.
However if you are breast feeding and you have no allergic reactions to honey, it is ok. As long as you don't feed it directly to your baby.
