You can find the following information in the Employment Contract in Paragraph 7 (a)........ The employer shall provide the Helper with free passage from her place of origin to Hong Kong and on termination or expiry of this contract, free return passage to her place of origin.
That means you need to provide flight ticket for her to her place of origin but not Manila unless her place of origin is Manila. The return ticket is just the same.
One reminder : It's better to keep a record with her signature on receiving the flight ticket . You can also state the date of reporting duty (if she fail to report duty on or before the date, she will be reguarded as quit the job ) because some of them will have many excuses of delaying their holidays.
You need to pay the transportation to her destination. if your maid live far away from the airport. you also need to pay the transportation from the airport to her home. You can choose domestic flight or to save money, you can pay the train or bus fee. However, if your maid need to take more than one day to reach her home. You need to pay $100/day extra to her.
I just face the problem few days before and also pay a loss. My agent tell me I should pay the ticket to the place as your helper tell. ( that mean not only manila if she request not this place ) . If you don't pay , the agent will tell the helper that you just only willing to pay to manila.
But later, the other agent tell me you have already give $100 for travell fee . This travell fee is the fee from manila to the orgin city. That mean , you only pay the ticket to manila and $100. But one more exception, some place the bus or train can not arrive. And the helper must go back by air.You should buy the ticket include the fight. You should check it ( which island) from your agent. I just trap by the agent and give $100 and also the 2 air ticket.
