1. When Hayes was 1-2.5 months old, within my maternity leave, I had not pumped milk out, but only kept on direct breastfeeding.
2. Hence, I breastfed him whenever he needed. Around 10 meals a day. It is the most effective way to stimulate good milk supply on BB demand.
3. Artifical pumps can not replace BB mouth. Direct breastfeeding generally must stimulate more milk out than pumps. (BB can drinks more than your pumped out oz---more than 1.5-2.5 oz)
4. Do you use double pumps? and Did you try to pump all milk out before going to sleep at night and midnightaround 12-3am. It is the Peak milk production hours.
5. Giving BB formula may decrease your chance to be stimulated(not pumps, but BB direct breastfeeding time)

and weigth gain was not satifactroy, so -->add formular :cry: Now, I had resume work, at day time, baby had 1 meal mama milk with bottle and 2 meal of formular; at night time I direct BF her. She still need every 2-4 hour ( last night : 6pm, 8pm, 10pm, 2 am and 6am). I will pump 1-2 times in office, usually get around 3oz each time, my girll needs 5-6oz each meal, so she will finish all pumped milk in one goal. Sometimes I will give formular to her at 8-9pm, so that I can have a bit more sleep.
