I think there are many new parents out there really have no idea how long they should let their babies to suck on pacifiers. Some say 10 hours, some say 5 hours...may be sucking 5 hours will have bad effects on their child already..it is just not severe...and we never really notice.
I think diapers should have warning letters saying "when it is soiled, you should change to prevent rashes." and "When rashes appear, please consult a doctor."
Just like the pacifier choking incident in Australia...it is common sense that babies should not bite the pacifier? Some parents think it is okay and continue to let the baby bite when they are teething...yes, it is common sense, but still not that many parents know.
When the tip of the pacifier falls off and the baby swallows it, do you think the sole agent has the responsibility to give warning letter then?
I think it is a must to have at least some warning letter saying that babies should be accompanied by adult when using the pacifier, then unfortunate things would not happen.
I think sole agents should at least have some sort of warning letter to prevent themselves from getting into troubles. Unfortunate things do happen and if they don't have warning letters, then they need to take the risk that there will be people out there going to sue them when accidents happen.
I am not worry that the woman will sue the manufacturer for having the warning letter or not...but she may sue them for having the pacifier wrongly design and misleading the customer into what they claim that they can do, since NUK is a major brand design to prevent bad formation/sucking action of the mouth.
