you dont need to use 枕頭, not until bb is 1 year of age. If you dont wash the 攬枕(芯), you can put it under the sun in the afternoon for a long "sun bath"
I wash twice before my bb was born, once after I bought it and once when I got in the hospital (you'll have to stay in hospital for a few days ma)
