Hi Hi! I have some very watery cervical mucus today - but not like egg white at all - just watery. Today is Day 13 (my cycle is 28-30 days) and no significant temperature drop. Not sure if I should wait for more egg white type mucus or is today the day?? PLEASE HELP!
Why not use ovulation tester to confirm? I get the help from Pollybell to buy a box of testers. Perhaps you may PM her and see if she can help. She is very helpful.
Thanks Wish2006! Yes Pollybell already gave me info on David sheet before. but I haven't had time to contact her to buy, but today, suddenly, have the watery mucus.
In the past cycles, it is also the 13th day, but the mucus is like egg white, not watery. And also, this cycle, I didn't have any mucus in the past few days! Very strange!
So I am not sure if I should dodo today, or wait for more egg white mucus...but I am afraid I will miss if I wait! Dunno what to do!
Seems there is another topic about mucus - something like secretion ~ 6 days before ovulation days. However, better to use tester rather than rely on secretion. Moreover, seems basal temp. is also not very reliable. This month, when tester is +ve, temp is not the lowest point.
I used to use Mentholatum tester to test. However, very expensive. When I get the David tester, I immediatley try. Result (+ve) the same as Mentholatum. I think David is okay.
The best timing is one day before Ovulation or 6 hrs after. (read from Mentholatum instruction + Pollybell message)
If you find first +ve result, ovulation happens within 36 hrs (Mentholatum instruction). So if you test from today, not sure if this is the first day you get +ve.
In my case, I get +ve on first day, slightly +ve on second day with David tester. Pollybell advised me that slightly +ve means ovulation is over. Thus, recommend to 'dodo' on the first +ve day, then, if okay, also dodo on the second slightly +ve day. Egg only survive ~24 hours.
Mentholatum instruction recommends to test 17 days before next Mensuration. Hope this can help you.
I start to check ovulation from D10 (because the temp reach lowest point). D12 -> +ve. However, D16 -> +ve again. You may find another topice - anyone experience 2 ovulations? (in Chinese) for details.
If I were you, I will check every morning from now onwards in order not to miss the chance. Better to buy David - much much cheaper.
Yes! I think I need to buy David - the Mentholatum is so expensive!!
Do you think it is better to check every morning, or every evening? I drink quite a lot of water during the day. I read in the instruction book that if drink too much water, may dilute the LH and cannot show negative. So I guess it is better in the morning?
I check when I wake up every morning. However, seems there is recommendation that better to test between 1000am - 0800pm. But I cant check when I am in office!
Today is D19. Now waiting for results. Finger crossed. :-P
I also get a low on D10 but -ve with tester. However, I dont want to miss the chance and thus dodo on D10. Then, I get +ve result on D12 (but temp. already rose.) Anyhow, dodo again. Temp drops on D15 => Dodo. I get another +ve result on D16 (confirmed by both Mentholatum and David)=> Dodo
Thus, I dodo on both low temp plus +ve days in order not to miss the chance.
For your further information, I have used the David ovulation tester since D16 (very dark line). But today I can still find a very light line mark there. Some girls said in another topic that clear mark continuously on David ovulation tester has high chance in BINGO. I am not sure but will keep en eye on this.
Oh! So I may be ovulating even if the dotest is -ve? I was thinking maybe I should wait til it is +ve to dodo, coz in the past months, I always dodo around low temp times but not success in bingo yet....
