thanks. My mother-in-law said we have to add some salts on food, otherwise, bb can't walk... dunno if it is correct or not.. my bb is afraid of walking alone, he can walk a bit since last Friday... since now, we haven't given any salt to him
My grandma-in-law said the same thing before my elder son started to walk. My elder son should be able to walk quite early but he was a bit timid to walk independently. Therefore he dared to walk only afer he turned one. He started to refuse no-salt congee after 18 months old.
My younger son (Matthew) started to walk when he was ten months old - before my grandma-in-law had a chance to re-emphasize her no-salt-no-walk theory. But Matthew refused no-salt congee when he was 14 months old. So we allowed the maid to add a little bit of salt to his congee since then.
I still wonder if it's too early to let Matthew eat salty food. I always have the impression that the later a baby eats salty food, the better. Not sure if this impression is correct or not.
Anyway, when your baby rejects no-salt congee, please come to BK to report.
