我同老公在HK, 老公加籍，想問係HK 呢邊點幫Newborn入籍呢？上網揾form 睇到頭都暈呀，有冇經驗媽媽教下我應該咩form 先岩呢

Simple, just bring:
1. Birth certificate of baby
2. Marriage certificate of you and uour husband
3. Take Baby's photos (refer to application's photo specification requirement)

Visit Canada Consulate in HK's website, fill in the application form for "First Time applicant for citizenship"

早D申請..因為真係好耐..我舊年幫仔仔申請入籍..一年幾先拿到(香港既加拿大領事館會將所有文件寄返渥太華做....西人動作又慢...)

另外留意下移民法新規定:如果你小朋友不是在加拿大出世...你小朋友仲可以拿到加籍..但你既孫就拿唔到(除非你孫在加拿大出世)
現在無得代代世襲加籍...

Yes! 另外請留意3歳以下小朋友passport 好似3年有效期only

晞晞爸, is it necessary to apply for a Canadian passport for the bb now? I guess the HK passport should be good enough for traveling purposes

it really depends on whether you really need it or not.

I agree with you that HKSAR Passport is good enough to travel to most of the country.

For me, one of the reason why i apply for my son at this early stage is that i need to take him to Taiwan to visit my grandma, with a HKSAR passport, my son needs to get a visa (first time application) which takes several weeks... whereas with a Canadian passport, my son can just fly there without any visa (14 days) which is more convenience....
