Should I buy a DV?

do you think that it is necessary to buy a DV? My baby will be born this Sept. Many ppl said they do not often use DV after they bought it.

一定要買
同埋一定要影多d video

我bb出世時, 都係同其他人一樣, 有dv 機但影得不多video
而家睇返d相同video, video 的樂趣多好多
尤其每一階段成長, 好得意同可愛

of course you can use DC to take videos, but the quality will not be as good. furthermore, DV cameras have better optical zoom, as much as 10x - 25x.

like me, just buy a cheap DV for less than $3,000.

Then do you have any suggestion for the DV if my budget is around HKD4,000. I prefer DVD type because I can read it directly in PC or DVD player

I not use DV most of time, sometimes will use DC to take movie. Beside, my DV not very often need to use 30xoptical zoom. So for my case, DC is enough if only bb moive at home. 20-30x optical zoom is for very long distance.

you will need 20x optical zoom for very long distance later, when taking video of your kids at school,

eg, performance on stage, sports day, etc

for convenience, DVD type can transfer direct to PC, but still it is compressed image, not as good quality as DV. i don't have any suggestions if you wish to buy DVD videocamcorder

Thanks a lot.... my DC is Sony P5.. it is an old version. Quality of movie is not good enough and recording time is limited (I only got a 256MB card).

買啦！！DV 質素高，亦係好平而且耐用既儲存媒體，我六年前既帶仲好地地。

dc 唔得啦，memory card 容量細，而且貴。

dvd cam 用既 dvd，如果要最高質素(其實仲唔夠 dv 高) 只得半個鐘，除非用 dvd ram(但勁貴)。所以，建議買 dv，如果用 dvd recorder 黎過落 dvd 都好方便，插左線就由得佢自己過，可以做其他野。

我自己有兩部，一部 10x 早幾年買，一部 25x 買左幾個月，就係要拍亞仔既表演，不過，zoom 到最盡(25x) 就手震幾明顯囉，但又用唔到腳架，因為好多daddy mommy 企晒係度一齊影。

我結果買了一部JVC HDD，20G Harddisk，因為夠輕和方便，又唔駛keep咁多帶和DVD，需然HDD比較易壞，但我在BEST參加了5年保養，只加多250蚊左右。
