Fenugreek will increase the milk production?

I breastfeed for almost 2 months. although i've drink papaya soup or pork knuckle soup every day, but i am still in shortage of milk supply. someone told me that Fenugreek seed contain hormone precursors that increase milk supply. wanna to try. Anyone have come across these healthy herbal product named FENUGREEK? it should be in capsule form. Mannnings previiously carry GNC's Fenugreek capsule but it's no longer sold at Mannings now. Anyone can suggest the location to buy it?

Hi,

I bought the fenugreek cap. and tried it before, no significant progress was resulted.
But Organic mother milk tea bag + soya bean drink are very effective!

I think you are great to breastfeed your baby over 21 months.... how to keep this up, I want to give up as I found my fingers and hands are pain when I use Avent manual pump, really want to rent the electric pump but afraid that I cannot breastfeed my baby when i go back to work next week....so, dont know how ???

Same as me, I willl go back to work next week too. I'm using Avent electric pump, and it work well. I will bring the pump to office, try to keep pumping milk every 3 - 4 hours. not sure if that will be worked or not. but i will try all my best for my baby, at least for the coming 4 months. Hope us can successfully keep breast feeding.

What kind of milk container will you use? I'm struggling among the milk bottle, avent food/milk container and disposible plastic milk bag.

1. Wing on can finds Organic mother milk tea.

2. Squeeze some ginger juice into soya bean milk, no cold!

Fenugreek is not work for me either. Curry contained such herbs but my milk supply show no improvement after eating curry. Btw, the organic mother milk do stabilize my milk supply and it work fine for me. Also, it serves as a tea bag so easy to handle when taking in the office. You can buy the organic mother milk at Wingon store (baby section), mothercare, nurse association, Health Gate etc. Around $48 per box which contains 16 tea bags.

Regarding the soya bean milk, it totally depends on your 體質. For me, I take 維他奶 immediately after I gave born (on the same day). I didnt find any problem since I am Hot 底.

Regarding the Avent manual pump, I found my hands very painful after using the Avent pump previously. Because I used it in a wrong way. The pattern of pumping should be long and slow not short and fast. Read the instruction again. It should be 2 seconds for 3 pumping action. Some mama also said the pump should last until the milk 柱 disapear. Try this. I find it perfect after adopting the new way. Besides, try using 2 pump together when pumping in the office. It is more efficient and effective. For me, I use Avent manual + Medela together when pump at work.

Direct feed baby when you are in holiday. Also, try feeding in one side and pumping in the other. This is an effective way to increase the milk supply and get more milk.

It is not that difficult to pump in the office. Relax! Ask if you have any questions. We are happy to share our experience.
