你們的bb上緊什麼playgroup?

Wanted to know what kind of playgroup your bb are participating.
I've tried one with my girl last week. I think it's abit too difficult for her. It recruits 10mth to 23mth kids and many things are included in the 1.5 hr lesson. Singing, teaching about dates, weather, drawing, flash cards, phonics which are lead by a foreign teacher. I personally think it's abit too much for a baby who doesn't even know ABC. But I've tried this class only. I'm not sure if others are all like that. Can you share with us? Am I not with the pace of the current trend of playgroups?

I haven't let my BB join in any playgroups. We have a club house, my BB is playing with neighbor BBs. It is too early to learn so many things. I just let him play hard. He is 11 monthes now, how old is your baby girl?

Hi - my daughter is close to 1 year and she has not joined any playgroup. I personally prefer to have her play with neighborhood or friends' babies instead of joining a structured playgroup at a young age. This is what i saw when i lived in California.

BTW - anyone interested in forming a playgroup ourselves instead of paying someone money at this time? I

msmslau，你住邊區？交通方唔方便？有無會所之類既地方？我都想同bb參加自組Playgroup，活動方面你有無idea？我覺得時間唔駛太長，費事我囡又攰又肚餓，無心機玩，而且大人都會攰。

我曾經帶過bb去參加bb gym之類既Playgroup，可能我囡平日已經周身郁，所以覺得無咩用。至於用英文上既Playgroup，由於我響屋企都係用中文同bb講野，而bb連中文都未掌握得咁好，所以我又覺得無咩用。唔知其他媽咪有無上過類似Playgroup？你地又覺得點呢？

hi, all. i've brought my gal to several different groups. my humble view is that the most expensive ones are always charging a higher rate for the massive hardware, e.g. gym-setting, big parachute... as we'll have various activities at home, i think it's a waste of money.
for english playgroups, i think it depends if you would like your child to have more exposure to foreign language. i'm not very straight to talk english only to my daughter, but it seems that the tonation of english is more appealing to little babies and infants as cantonese somehow sounds very monotone. and, the language is easier to understand, e.g. "sun" than 太陽, "bird" than 雀仔.
having said that, my gal can pronounce cantonese like 飽，猫，冇...
all in all, i think if you want your child to see more ppl and try more stuff, playgroup is not bad.

beryl_ma，無錯，「tonation of english is more appealing to little babies and infants」，我囡都鍾意聽英文兒歌多d，雖然不論中文定英文佢都唔明，但係我囡去到英文playgroup又唔係好投入喎，Anyway，佢都係去過一次英文playgroup咁大把，或者唔可以作準。我又係好想我囡see more ppl and try more stuff，但最近又好怕佢病，少左帶佢周圍去，好矛盾．．．

if you decided to organise playgroup yourself, I am interested to join as well.

My son joined Kindermusik since 10 months, and he likes it and play good, but the class location is far too far for me. ( I lived in Shatin, and the class is in Central).

Playgroup conducted in Chinese and English are ok, as long as our child can learn something, but it should be conducted by experienced teacher.

myrchan,我都認同妳講法, 中文未講掂又要學英文, 而且平日囡囡都係我媽咪湊, 已經日日同囡囡落會所的兒童樂園處玩, 爬及扶嘢行完全無問題, 但還可以自己行, 所以最近見物理治療師時,佢話要多D訓練佢無嘢扶住企定定及大人拖佢一隻手學行, 所以暫時都要搞點佢識行先, 我剛在06年2月媽媽會見到其他媽咪分享在香港基督教服務處幼兒潛能訓練班所學到的嘢, 我覺得都幾實際及有用, 所以我都會報名, 因9月份會有班開. 8月初截止報名，話時話,這處有冇媽咪上緊, 分享吓!
