I am unhappy as i found my fingers and hands are pain by using manual pump. I use Avent manual pump over 4 weeks. In the past, i just use my hands only. How to prevent from this pain ?
What type of pump you all use, pls give advice ...THANKS
I used Avent manual pump too. I used it 3-4 times a day. But no problem woo. Of course sometimes the hands are quite tired. I think it's the matter of 習慣. My baby is now 8 and a half months. I do it for 7 months. So I get used to it. Avent manual pump is very efficient. I know many mamies use it and give it a very positive command. Or maybe you can try an electric pump.
I am using Avent manul pump for over 9 months and 3 times a day. I found my hands very painful previously. Because I used it in a wrong way. The pattern of pumping should be long and slow not short and fast. Read the instruction again. It should be 2 seconds for 3 pumping action. Some mama also said the pump should last until the milk 柱 disapear. Try this. I find it perfect after adopting the new way. Besides, try using 2 pump together when pumping. It is more efficient and effective. For me, I use Avent manual + Medela together when pump at work.
Bbpooh, I try to adopt the new method, thanks. But, When i use the pump tightly and deeply, the "star" easy to turnaround, so, stop may times when pumping. I will buy another pump to pump another breast at the same time. Many thanks.
maybe u should use electric pump. i use 2 medela's electric pumps. they are good but very noisy. it is quite embrassing when i pump milk in the office.
