Please forgive my curiosity, but I think the cable/ADSL modem also need transformer and your little boy/girl also like to touch it! Unless you do not use broadband to access internet, otherwise your reason is a bit "斬腳趾避沙蟲". I suggest you'd better keep it, in case you have a 2nd PC/notebook/PDA/Wifi phone later.
