why not? u r free to travel to wherever you want. but the only thing you need to take note is you could only stay no more than 90 days in canada (as the visitor) and also during your stay in canada, someone else in HK will have to make sure to notify you for any correspondence to you from the Canada commissioner in HK regarding to your application.
