My children studied in Bilok almost one year. We choose it since we need to work late and there is no other choice for us. I am so agree "she" is so "commercial".
Same same. My son went to 比諾幼兒園 for playgroup and once he is 2 years old. We let him go to 寶盈-德寶幼兒園. Half day International N1 is $3000. My son enjoys going to school and the teacher also has good communications with us. I will let him continue in International N1 in the coming semester.
I don't like 比諾幼兒園 because of 園長. Too hard sell that I am afraid they are only focussing on making money instead of developing the child's ability. The playgourp teachers are ok though.
1. Long extension hour. Like us as working parents, we often left office at seven pm so we have one choice only. I terminate my helper when they went to nursery. Sure my children go to school six days per week (8:30am to 7:00pm). You can know that they stay at nursery are longer than our working hours.
2. Flexible. Short (one-week) summer vacation, Bilok start its annual vacation at the end of July.
3. My children can go to nursery even it is in typhoon signal 3 or red rainstorm warning.
May NEGLECT all the above if you have trustable home helper or you are a full-time mama. I chose it last year cos its MARKETING STRATEGY PLAN suit my family.
>>> How about teacher, teaching method ? Can children learning from the school ?
I can say it pass. What they learn from Bilok, let me see... Buzz light-year, Ding Dong, Teletubbies etc. I think (in really I think only) after 4:30 pm, Bilok play VCD per evening and wait for children's parent to collect them, otherwise, how can my children know those cartoon characters?
I wouldn't want to give you idea that Bilok looks like a wonderland, in fact, it help us a lot. But in my mind, my wife and I should be the first teacher for my children.
The last thing to point out that we pay 12 month's school fee, so I CAN'T tell you Bilok is comparatively cheap.
Thanks for your info. I am also thinking of the long extension hour benefit just in case if my home helper is left.
For watching TV, the school said children can leave after 4:30pm and for whose who stay in school will watch TV or do some handcraft. But is your child still studying there ? Will you continue to K1 or above ? Is the teacher please to answer your queries on your child's progress ? As we all working mom but I do want to know what they have learn in school like Putonghua or English.
For school fee, it seems fair for full day class.
As I am quite interest to let my child to study there and so, can any parent share more to me ?
>>>But is your child still studying there ? Will you continue to K1 or above ?
My children will continue in Bilok unless I win Mark Six, they will promote to K1 in coming August. We will let them study in Bilok unless there is a sudden change of family economic status.
>>>Is the teacher please to answer your queries on your child's progress ?
Sure. I paid the school fee on time. Why not? But I seldom ask, why? I have two children and they study in the same class, I can know what's going on everyday by asking them directly. BTW, you can phone Bilok at 12:30pm to know what you want. I would advice you to keep patient in the first two weeks cos the class teacher may has little impression on your child.
>>>what they have learn in school like Putonghua or English
Both. I can't tell you the part of Putonghua cos I know nearly none. For English, I satisfy though they speak just like singing. eg.
Red red apple, yum yum yum.
Good boy, good boy, playing with toys.
My little dog goes, woof woof woof
Something like that!
Nearly I forget to tell you my children learn from Bilok what is Father's Day, and Mother's Day.
