First I have to declare that I have not installed any IP-cam at home yet, and I am still finding the one that suit me. But I have evaluated a lot of models at office and quite a number did not work. In general, I can access the webpage of the IP-cam but not view the live video. For some I can view the video but no audio. My office has firewall and internet access is allowed via proxy server only. Below is my result...
Panasonic BL and BB series
All worked in my office. Audio can be heard from BB series (only BB series support audio)
Level One FCS-1040/1060
Can access webpage but no live video (black video screen)
Level One FCS-1010/1030
Can access webpage and video only without audio
Neu Fusion NCS-630
Can access webpage but no live video (black video screen). Hangs my IE.
DLink DCS-2120
Can access webpage, video and audio
DLink DCS-900
Can access webpage, video but hangs my IE when selecting either ActiveX and Java.
DLink DCS-5300G
Can access webpage, video only without audio
DLink DCS-6620
Can access webpage but no live video (black video screen)
Vivotek IP7135/7137
Can access webpage, video only (because audio is disabled)
Vivotek PZ6122
Can access webpage but no live video (black video screen)
Vivotek PT3122/3124
Can access webpage, video only without audio
Vivotek IP3135/3132/3122
Can access webpage, video only without audio
Also I noted that the products from several big brands (Dlink, Vivotek, Level One) are very similar and they must share the same hardware. So if you found a model of a brand does not work, it is very likely that the model of another brand with same functions will not work either as they are sharing the same hardware and software.
