I just visited Bayside outlet in Aug this summer. It's a place worth to go as the items there are quite cheap. I've bought a lot of things there. It's only take an hour from Tokyo.
I spent 4-5 hours there after visited the noodle and curry museums. Actually I don't have enough time and strength to buy things as I've bought too much. I haven't visited the other area, say furnitures/household items. Many brands are good, say nike, ozoc, coach and some other Japanese brands.
I highly recommend to try Shinagawa Prince Hotel. Just next to JR Shinagawa station. With big rooms and shopping malls in Executive Tower. Can visit any one of the 7 restaurants in the morning. Some of them can be visited till 11:00am. There's an Epson Aquarium nearby with Manta Rays, Dolphins, Merry-go-around and other games. Children would be very happy being there.
It's a center point between Tokyo area and Yokohama.
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I have read the website. The hotel is very beautiful.
We prefer to live in Shinjuku and would like to have two connect rooms (one room can get throught to another room) so we can take care of two children. Do you have any idea which Hotel in Shinjuku have this kind of rooms ?
I have no idea. Usually I'll compare the size/decoration of the rooms on their web sites and whether it's nearby JR station. It seems that the rooms at Century Hyatt are better. You can take a look on their web sites as below.
Besides, it's hardly to find connecting rooms in Japan as told by the CX staff.
The agent is checking to see which Hotel has connecting rooms for me.
Do you know whether two days or three days passport would be better for visiting Disneyland & DisneySea. I am planning to go on 30 & 31 Oct 2006 (Halloween has more functions in Disneyland).
