要Land 幾耐？

本來我計劃在１２月中移民到加拿大。但上星期收到移民局電話，話已出了Ｖｉｓａ給我，並要我在11月頭 land，現在陣脚大亂 :cry:
請問我land到加拿大後可以最快幾時離開？2天可以嗎？
1個月後回來加拿大有沒有問題？
請幫忙解答。

2 days? I guess not, as u need to apply for the SIN card and Health card, I think one week is better.
But don't worry, just ask the 移民局 whether u can delay to land on Dec or not. Canadian usually very friendly and make sense.

P.S. Do u have HK driver License? Just remind, for any new driver need to take the lerning license (G1) and wait for 8 months before go for the exam of G2 license, and then exam for a full license (G).
If you do have a license in HK, then you can direct go for the exam of G.

visa will expire with 1 year (from the day you have your medical check up). say. if you have the check up on Dec 15, 2005, and your visa issued in Sept 10, then you will have to land Canada before Dec 15, 2006.

for my understanding, you could apply your sin card/health card later. by the time you land canada, they will prepare the maple leaf card for you (mail to your permenant address).

for your sin card you only need to apply if you wish to work - so it could be wait. For health card, they need 3 documents to submit - so if you just come, you hardly have enough document in hand to apply for the health card, also, you will have to wait for 3 months before medical benefit kicks in. so no rush.

if you do not have enough time to stay here - I know some people just come and go in a week's time. at least to have the maple leaf card done and bank account open. for when they come again, they will have sufficient document to apply for the health card.
