You should only let her off according to the contract you signed. My maid only has holidays on Sundays. (This is written in our contract to the Macau Government).
Sometimes I may give her a day off on Chinese New Year or Christmas when I feel like, or when we are not home and don't want to be alone at home.

You can tell her that other holidays are none of her business.
