Ivy's Agent? anyone heard of it..charge $6k/month for maid
Have anyone heard of Ivy's Agent? My friend says they charge $3k agency fee monthly for their maids..meaning ppl pay $3400 + $3000 monthly fee every month.
The maids don't get holidays..they go back to agency every weekends for training...

I have tried Ivy's agency before. My comment is the agent doesn't have much good maids to choose from, seems their selling point is they have "harsh" training afterwards. For 1st 3 months, the maid needs to go back for training every dayoff and employer needs to fax back comments to agent the day before their day off. Maid are quite afraid to go there on holidays becos the agent will "scold" them on behalf of employer and some maids will cry.
My experience is the maid's quality from that agent is not high but they want to come to HK thru this agent, so willing to accept being scold in the agent during day off.

me and my friend's experience is not quite good. My impression is maids from the agent are not particularly smart type but they are obedient. So you really have to spoon feed them. You can just think the other way that if they are smart, they will not be willing to go back to the agent and being scolded on their day offs.
One good thing for employer is instead of scolding them directly, you just have to make complains to the agent and let them train/scold them. say if you think she is not cleaning well, the agent will train the maid in their agency during day off or ask them to cook for everyone. My observation is the maid will be good the day after going to the agent because she is being scolded and know that you are angry about her. But after a while, just 2 days later, they will be back to their normal.
