My mother removes her right and left eye's 白內障 in 2003 & 2004 respectively by Dr. Chow Pak Chin Tel: 23918433. Thereafter, she keeps annual check-up in the Hong Kong Eye Hospital. Two doctors of the Eye Hospital said her surgery looks very good!
By the way, approx. how much is the operation fee for Dr Chow? My mum 80+ was quenced in Government eye hospital but should be 3 more years to wait. Her left eye is seriously cloudy.
I can't remember exactly. I think around $13000/eye. You may call the clinic for details. My mother has the surgery at 76 years old.
I remember while waiting in the clinic, different patients said different price for surgery. And I heard an old man asked for lower price and the doctor agreed. I think you may ask too!
It may be quite hard for your mother to wait too long in the clinic, so remind you must go earlier than the opening time of the clinic as many people already wait outside before the door open. Or you may choose the last appointment like 12:00 in the morning or 6pm in the afternoon. But must make appointment first or else the nurse will refuse to see you.
