Still Breastfeeding?

I am just wondering if anyone else is still breastfeeding.

I had been exclusively feeding my baby with breast milk (both expressed and bottle), and he hasn't tried any formula milk as yet. I am now gradually weaning him into solids, and he is taking it quite well.

I am still deciding when to stop breastfeeding. I am afraid that my baby may get allergic to formula (he is quite allergic, with eczema and things)...

Just want to see who else is exclusively breastfeeding...

我仲係餵緊人奶

唉你就好啦, 我個囡唔係好肯食固體食物. 已食左一個月都係咁. 每次食得5-6口咋

儲備已開始緊張, 我依家要增加泵奶次數以提供多d奶 :cry: 我返工已經泵3次共15oz都應付唔到佢既要求. 返到家要即時再泵, 晚上餵飽佢, 仲有d都泵佢出黎. 如果唔係佢唔夠食

b囡唔該快d食固體啦, 我就快頂唔住啦 :-(

仲係全人奶, 好勁喎! 我個囡出世到依家每晚都飲一餐奶粉, 其餘就泵俾佢食, 諗住餵到十二月尾, 因為又要做家務, 又要湊佢, 又要返工, 好辛苦, 所以你要繼續努力呀!

Hi suzannal. I am another mom who BFs exclusively. I plan to BF till 9 mo - 1 yo, or when i can't BF anymore (whichever the earlier).

Well i guess, if your LO has eczema, you'd better keep BFing him till he weans, since there are kinda reports saying BF is beneficial to those skin problems.

Have heard in other communities that Enfapro A+ was similar to breastmilk. Give it a try if you reli want to.

食人奶真係對佢皮膚好d咩? 因為大囡食奶粉皮膚好滑好正, 細囡食到依家已經六個多月喇, d皮膚由滑嘟嘟變到依家鞋拾拾, 好似成身濕疹咁呀, 我諗要帶佢睇

Sabina_BB, I fed baby rice mixed with my breastmilk to my baby first, and he seems to take it quite well. Then, I added other veg and fruits with the baby rice and breastmilk, and he seems to like it just fine. So far, I have tried carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas, pumpkin, apples, pears.

Hazelnut, I am not sure if breastmilk makes the skin better, but it is better for allergic babies to prevent their skins from getting worse.

I am now pumping once / twice at work for around 10 oz, pump in the morning for 11-12oz, and feed him on the breast once at night, then pump another 6 oz at night... I do sometimes feel like a cow.

And I have to go to China occasionally for work now, lucky I still have stock in the freezer.

American Academy of Paediatrics had recently issued a report on follow-up of 4089 children. The result was positive, and showed that BF for 4 months+ reduces the risk for eczema and asthma to 4 years of age.

Comment of reviewers: "Many studies to date have shown that breastfeeding confers a protective effect against early atopic diseases including eczema. This is yet another argument to support breastfeeding. "

Hazelnut, I guess the skin problems of your LO were not originated from BFing. In fact, the situation could be worse if not BFing. Moisturize the skin (esp the folds) with some aqueous cream will help beating eczema.

我係全母乳媽媽, HUGO仔剛剛食咗糊仔一星期, 一日一餐, 暫時都無問題。第一日佢唔肯食, 第二日我同老公示範點樣用匙羹食嘢, 咁佢就好鍾意食啦。
HUGO仔有濕疹, 醫生都叫我繼續餵母乳, 有咁耐得咁耐, 因為無奶粉咁容易敏感。
我自己都打算餵到HUGO自然離乳, 如果太大個都仲未戒, 就會泵出嚟俾佢食。
依家我每日可以儲到一餐做冰奶, 成個冰格都塞滿哂LU

昊昊一直都係食人奶架,出世以黎食過幾餐奶粉(<10餐),
4個月開始食米糊至今都食得幾好

昊昊d皮膚都唔係太好,
一換片佢就R腳,成日R到隻腳損哂,
不過我已經幫佢勁查cream,
我都係覺得如果佢食奶粉d皮膚可能仲差,
我無同佢睇醫生呀,
如果開d有乜乜物物既葯膏俾我,
我都唔想俾佢用啦,
除非真係好嚴重,唔係既話我都只係多d查cream

my bb is on 90% expressed breastmilk since 2 weeks old as my expressed breastmilk is not enough.

i plan to pump till 1 yr old

Glad to hear that there are still quite a few breastfeeding mum left. I was thinking about going to 1 years old and then change to cow's milk, but was having mixed feelings as most of my friends have given up before 6 months, and my original target was until 6 months (when I first started). Well, I shall keep going and see if my supply will drop...

BTW, my period still have not come. Any of your bfing mum's came already?

Hi 各位媽咪，

我囡囡都係由出世至現在六個多月全媽媽奶BB，只是在初初兩星期時補過奶粉，之後就無再食奶粉，而次次都是埋身餵她，好少pump奶，只在初初要出街時，就pump定出來餵她，而每次pump只得4-5oz，現在就無再pump連出街都係埋身餵，我都唔知點解，成日覺得pump出嚟D奶，好似好容易變壞，驚對囡囡唔好，所以無存貨在雪柜，只會買定罐奶以備不時之需。囡囡現在每日都食一餐粥仔，每次都會食到一碗仔，之後隔一陣她就要食奶，所以我D奶量都好似無減少到。其實我都想請問吓，我須然是個全職媽咪，是否都要pump奶儲貨，你哋如何放在雪柜，其實我從未試過放在雪柜，以前只會pump咗後，4-5小時內就餵囡囡食。
而初初目標只是餵到3個月，到3個月的時候，又諗住餵到6個月，好啦依家到6個月，就15/16又想餵又想放棄，都唔知點好。
另外，皮膚方面，囡囡都是在近耳邊面仔較為乾，好容易"鞋烚烚"同埋較為敏感，我同樣都係覺得如果餵奶粉皮膚可能仲差，所以都是經常搽Aqueous Cream，不過她搽完又好快乾，上次打針見醫生時，醫生介紹搽Physiogel Cream，她搽完好似好D。
我都是BB出世到現在未有Period。

我覺得如果你餵完小b仲覺得有奶最好泵出黎放係freezer可以有3個月限期. 我聽人講到月經黎時奶量好drop架, 而且唔知幾時m黎, 所以keep定d stock 會好少少. 我想問你地d粥開始落肉未呀

唉我個女唔肯食我諗住放d肉好似有d味睇下會唔會好d

我個女都有乾既問題, 所以我每次同佢沖完涼就會put cream on her body　＆　ｆａｃｅ．

我多数用節瓜或加紅蘿蔔，再落瘦肉或雞肉煲湯先，再用D湯煲粥，之後再加用來煲湯D節瓜及紅蘿蔔磨蓉落番D粥比BB食，D肉就冇比BB食，D粥煲好我試過係好好味，通常BB食剩D粥，佢Daddy一定食埋。

hihi!! I'm a bf mama also! and I first planned to bf my baby til 3 months, and then 6months, and now I hope to bf him until 1yrs old.

my period came when my baby was 5 months old, and I'm telling you guys that milk volume had really dropped. Therefore make sure you have some stock in the freezer.
my baby start to have solid food when he was 5.5 months old and I plan to give him some meat when he reaches 8 months.

我是全泵型的人奶媽媽, bb現在6個月+3周, 我有點十五十六, 不知餵到幾時. 但見奶量有下跌趨勢, bb未夠6個月, 就要補一次奶粉. 這星期早上醒來, 已隔了8小時, 都不夠8oz.
曾想過少泵一次, 讓奶量少然後停, 可省點時間; 但又有點想儘最後努力, 看一歲前餵倒幾多就幾多, 1歲後我想再有第二個.
希望可以保持住啦, 現在仍未有M, 可能有M會減到很少了...

I used to be a purely pumped out bf mum, but milk production decreases or not as good this way. I now feed my baby once on the breast each day, so baby can provide the necessary stimulation to keep up the milk supply.

But then, we are at more than 6 months already, so, it really doesn't matter so much...

Dear all,

I would like to share my exprience to you.

I am also BF to my daughter. 3 weeks ago, I started to give her cereal mixed with Breast milk.

At first everything was well. Untill last week, she has no poo-poo at all. Yesterday, when she was starting to poo, I see the poo was solid and it's seem difficult for the first sold poo

. I saw her crying :-( and she looked very fritghten.

I saw that I bring her to see the doctor and he gave me some midicine to soft the solid poo.

After 24 hours fighting to the solid poo. Thanks God. She is fine now.

I was so tense cause my husband went out of town.
I can only handle everything alone.
