URGENT! Pls give comment!

My agent referred a maid to me, she worked in HK for 10 yrs & 2 months with one family, but as the family migrate to other country, the family need to terminate her.

Now, the maid is in Philippines. I can only interview her thru. phone. But I query why the family still renew her as they know they will migrate to othe country, as the family stop the maid after the new contract starting for 2 months. The family simply can extend her for 2 months instead of renew to ruin the maid's record.

Will you employ her? The comment from the family for the maid is quite good. Pls give me comment. Tks.

知吾都佢係點走架？係1個月通知?定係補1個月即走？
如果係補1個月即走=>1定有大'鑊'野！
如果係1個月通知=>到能係屋企環境突然有變(e.g. 丈夫被泒去外國分公司做野....)

You can telephone to her present employer and ask any details. If they wellcome to ask your enquiries and give her reference letter .It's mean that basically, no problem.
Don't worry about this because this time so earliest.

叫佢比僱主電話你,打去問清楚了左件心事,好多僱主都好願意講嘅,攞reference letter唔夠可信!

Thanks for all of your reply.

Actually, I have called her previous employer, the comment from her previous employer is quite well.

Also, the employer has 2 maids, if the employer thinks this is good, why she terminate this maid first? But the employer said she will terminate the other soon too as they will immigrate to other country.

你要小心, 我之前個工人亦都是在我家做了9年幾, 成日想放長假, 又講大話, 我要佢放大假一定要先得我同意時間,因為我要上班, 不是你話放便放, 到我同佢講要在小兒放暑假才可走, 佢話唔得, 巳經同佢老公約好時間回 Philippine, (心想我是最後才知這消息) , 後我好火, 未比了1個月通知佢要走, 走之前, 我家都唔知比佢羅了幾多野.
有件事想 remind 你, 你所謂佢個之前僱主, 會唔會假, 最好是寄'掛號信'寄比佢前僱主希望佢地回覆(must attached your mobile no. / e-mail address), 因為好多 Agent 會假冒 '前僱主', 希望做成單生意. 我亦相信我們在 bk 媽咪, 當收到這信一定會真誠回覆.
PS : 如佢真是好, 沒有理由佢僱主唔介紹比佢D朋友. 佢在香港咁長時間, 沒有理由找不到D friend 介紹工比他.

Thanks for your reminder. Actually, I have sent out the letter to the contracted employer to get comment, but only normal mail. Hope they can reply me.

If I have not receive any news next week, I will post again by register. Tksssss.

We really have to be very careful when employing a new maid as there are so many unreliable agents & maid around the world....
