I read a book name "Baby Signs" written by Linda Acredolo PH.D and Susan Goodwyn PH.D.
It talks about how our baby can communicate with us using sign language. e.g. I am hungry or Here is the birdie etc.
I am now trying that on my baby Ryan.
Furthermore, I ready Jan 07 issues of "Mama Bobo", there is an article written by a language therapist concerning the baby signs & I think this is starting popular.
I wonder if there's anyone interest, if yes, I can try to contact that language therapist for more information.
Hi ey519,
I am interested. In fact, I start searching for courses on Baby Signs and found two programmes which I might enrol in the coming months. If you can contact the language therapist for an intro class, I will be interested to join.
I am very interested, I have already got a book with basic signs that i will practice with my baby very soon, please let me know about the course! i have found a few too but they are a bit too far for me to travel so i haven't really been to any.
A friend of mine have send me a link to some books etc etc....
Oh! so glad that seems quite lots of mothers know about it & want to learn more.
I will contact the therapist for more details

Dear Jellybaby,
The web site is quite good. You know what, those Sign's card is what I am looking for now. My friends will go to US in CNY, I may ask them to find them for me.
Hi everyone,
I am interested too. I have heard that some babies learned those signs in few months old and could still remeber/use when they're few yrs old.
Looking forward to hearing more news / course details from you. Cheers.
Hi Jellybaby,
Where did you buy the book? In HK? or outside HK? from web?
細粒丁
I got them from Bumps to Babies and Dimocks, the one from Bumps to babies is more practical and goes straight in to the signs and the one from Dimocks is more theories with some signs. Actually there are quite a few books in Dimocks but they are alot on the theories so you might want to go and look into it!
Also you can look at Paddyfield they are a book shop in HK that also do web here is a link to their baby sign's books!
