My Yan Yan works for me for 6 months, she still makes below mistakes;
- make not hot enough bathing water for my babies
- don't put enough clothes for my babies (but she put herself so many clothes that she just like a ball)
- cook damaged food for my babies
- cook extremely salty breakfast for my elder daughter
- played with my babies in the sitting room with all the windows shutted
- forget to bring diapers or cup / milk bottles when we are going out (fortunately I remember to check all the stuffs before we leave the house)
- forgot to turn off the water tap
- lost my pants and babies's clothes after hanging out for drying
- telling lies
- keep forgetting things e.g. forget to give water to my girl for the whole morning
- talking back
............. cannot list so many.
Shall I fire her? Would I hire a bun bun is better?
I have got enough.
I feel better after sharing. Thank you for your time.
Yours is not that bad, mine is even worse as she has an extremely bad attitude towards me, and she keeps on sick but not gonna take the medicine that the doctor gives her ... so she doesn't need to take care of baby lor ...
Since I just paid the levy in Dec, 06, I don't wanna waste the levy, so, I think I would find a new maid in the coming months and hopefully, the new one can start working in June, then, I can save some money. You know firing a maid is really "expensive".
BTW, actually, my silly maid resigned to me when she just worked for me for 3 months because she said she could not filful my requirement and she knew she performed bad. But after she talked to her agent, she withdraw her resignation. However, I insisted her to sign the resignation form prepared by the agent with the effective date blanked, so that in the future when I fire her, I don't need to pay her one month notice , am I right?
I heard from some other moms that even if the maid did something wrong, and the employer has given written warning, we are still required to give the maid one-month notice or $$ in lieu. Isn't it? If not, I have more than sufficient reasons to fire mine
