Last Saturday, I was all excited that the family meant to go skiing for a week. However, the holiday was shorten by the news which my dad was amitted into the hospital and needed to do an operation urgently.
I thought my hubby was being very understanding for coming home with me at once in the beginning. Today is the 2nd day after my dad's operation and my hubby and I still have 10 days of leave remaining, so he wanted to go overseas to see his parents. As I will be busy to take care of my dad in the next few days (no one to help here as helper on leave in the Philippines and I do not want to bring my son to the hospital everyday) so I asked him to take our son with him to visit his parents.
This is when he started to pull a long face and hardly speak to me before they left this afternoon. He said he wouldn't be able to do whatever he wants if he bring along our son. I really think he was being very selfish as this is a special circumstances and all he is thinking is for himself only.
I am really upset with him as he still think that I reined his leave when he left. :-(
Just treat him like a kid as he is still a kid. Take a wider look as it may be their family tradition, be inconsiderate, since it is my hubby's family tradition. Don't be upset, try to talk to him that you need his help and you would do the same for him. He is a father and he would be happy if his son/daught when he was in the same situation.
Try to figure out the best you can do and don't expect him to grow up SUDDENLY.
