My bun bun just arrived yesterday and asked me whether I will buy coffee for her co'z her last employer also bought it for her. She said she need coffee as breakfast everyday. Will you provide coffee to your maid?
I called the agency this morning and she told me that some employers will buy some very cheap coffee to their maid and they can drink for several months for one bottle. I said that I'm worrying that the maid will have more and more requests lateron.
Yes, she worked in HK for 8 years for one employer. I asked her ex-employer and she said that this maid is honest and her son like the maid very much. The ex-employer also said that she did household work quite clean. She didn't extend the contract as the long service payment is very significant if she continue to extend another contract for her.
I think her ex-employer provided her with coffee, so she made the same request now.
Some people will need to drink coffee/tea to refresh in the morning, otherwise not feeling good for all day.
If your maid requested, she may be that kind of person. If she works ok, I will give her to drink law as it does not cost much money.
I also asked my maid if she likes to drink coffee in the morning but she said no coz she cannot sleep well at night. So, I give her Vitasoy or milk in the morning.
