(1) My elder brother has kids in secondary school now. He sacked the maid since his wife turned full time mami for more time for the kids. So his thinking is like yours.
(2) You keep thinking reasons on the kids NOT to communicate with you. YOu may try to think of reasons for them to KEEP communicating. Many men are very talkative and women very quiet.
