My BB girl was borned on 7 Mar. I totally breastfeed her from the first day till now. Normally, I need to feed her 8-9 times a day, about 15-20 min on one side. She will sleep for aobut 2-3 hours after feeding. During midnight, I will feed her with expressed breast milk twice because I want to save up some time. However, I find she is not so familar with bottle feeding. Some milk will leak from her mouth. If she is still crying after finishing bottled milk, I have to give her my breast for sucking again to make her sleep.
How is your experience?
I haven't got much milk wor.. if i pumped out 前奶, i haven't got much milk left for my baby ja wor... anyway, what's 前奶? pumped till when it'd be 後奶????
i was able to pump around 4oz each time when baby is hospitalised for the first few days. Since she comes home, I don't seem to be able to pump much(maybe I'm too tired). When I breastfed her (tummy to tummy), it's about 15-20 mins on each breast. Sometimes she's settled but sometimes she's still hungry and I will just top up with formula (coz I'm too afraid after the jaundice fiasco). Now she eats every 3 hours - 6x breastfeed (1 or 2 times forumla topup) + 2x formula at night.
Have to say it can be v frustrating when you're just not sure whether you have enough breast milk for the baby...but just don't give up, 一齊加油呀!
