Recommend my YanYan (esp for newborn) find good employer

I plan to terminate my YanYan some time next week, before 4/13 (Levy is due). I will change from Full Time to Part Time so I no longer need her. Her performance is good so far but I prefer to have my privacy, will hire 家務助理 instead.

here are some of her details: she is 32, has 1 son, a Christian. She worked with me for 5 months (since Nov 06, 1 month before my bb was born). She worked in Singapore for 4 years, and 2 years in HK before coming to my house. Both jobs were taking care of babies. I think she didn't learn much at her SG job, but last job she learned how to cook, and with me, she learned how to take care of newborn bb. She cleans & cooks well, and learns very very fast! Because I don't like making noise in the house when my baby sleeps ( I work from home, so I observe 24 hours!), she can work very quietly so I think that's very good.

I feel bad terminating her because I think she's good (esp reading all the bad maids from BK), so if anyone is interested, pls PM me. I prefer to go through the formal process, so you'll need to hire her through her agency (海X僱傭).

btw, I want to find her a good employer. She needs to have Sunday as holiday(goes to church), and she prefers Christian families. And I think she likes babies and children. She can take care of pets too.

What 's the difference between "going through the formal process - to hire her through her agency (海X僱傭)" and hire her directly? Can we hire Indonesia maid directly and not through agent? How much is the fee?

hi siumanmama, yes, can hire without going through agent, I've read in BK in the past some moms do that...but I don't know how either...

that's why i prefer to go through the agency.

No. Not yet. The Indo maid on the website does not have experience in nursing new born baby. Are you also interested in using Overseas ??

babellt & mimame, when I went to Overseas to search for a maid, my current maid is the only yanyan with NB experience (3 months old baby).

some people ask me what's bad about my maid. Here they are:
(1) she uses my shampoo/toothpaste even she has her own bottles
(2) she uses a lot of soy sauce & oyster sauce in her cooking...maybe that's why taste good

(3) sometimes she takes things to use without asking me, ie: paper, needle, threads, etc
(4) I ask her to write down each item she buys at the market (no receipts), I don't know if she is 100% honest, but the prices are reasonable and I'm ok.
(5) she takes naps in the afternoon, but after she finishes her work.
(6) she uses hot water to wash her clothes by hand

other good things:
(1) so far, she has no loan & uses storage mobile SIM card (as far as I know)
(2) she is good playing with babies
(3) she is friendly and polite, says good morning & thank you.

keep in mind she has worked with me for only 5 months, so I can only tell you what I've seen. And because I work from home, I usually take care of baby, and she assists me when I need.

I will terminate her next Wed morning and bring her to agency around 11am( approx).
If you are interested, you MUST email me at [email protected] then I will send you an email on Tues night to confirm. (I need to call agent on Tues to ask her to ready the termination documents, if she is willing to help. Otherwise, i'll prepare the documents myself).

If you are worried I am an agent, then you can come Wed morning and wait for me at the agency. You can watch me sign the termination papers.
