Can new born bb hear sound?

My bb just born for a week, but I talk right next to her ear she gives no response, is it normal?

Yes, new born is very easily scarred by sound, so of course it can hear sound. If there is a sudden loud noise, does she "jump" or cry?

The hospital is supposed to do hearing test before discharge. Tell that to the nurse when you go to govt's mom-b centre for shots.
