Hi puiyue ,
If you go to C+,when 11~13 weeks .The Dr.will see the (neck skin) .If over 2.5mm may be high risk ,my Dr. sad under 2.5mm should be better but my case was 2.5mm so,+ blood test($1000).one day have result. If your faimaly backgroung is normal and you feel ok.You can chose on 20 weeks to do the blood test.(the government hospital) By case ,when I 33 years old ~ NO OSCAR TEST,(2004)Now,36 years old I think ok but over 35,so take the oscar.the neck skin was 2.5mm + blood test fail on 13 weeks.I made sure the bb is normal ,when 18 weeks to take the 'Amion" test.Fainlly, the bb is not a "DOWNS".*take the Amino test have 1/200 per lost the bb. The oscar test 80~90% sure. But safty.:-P
I heard from my friend that she got a friend, the situation is similar to you. the mother is 32, it was the third pregnant, the elder 2 children are normal, so she gave up the oscar test during the third pregnant.
when she was at around twenty something or thirty weeks, she got high blood pressure, protein urine, the doctor said, she must delivered (C-section) at once to saved the mother life, the baby may not be survived.
finally, I don't know it is lucky or not, the baby survives, but she got Down's syndrome.
