請問大家會唔會幫BB留臍帶血? 知唔知邊間公司會好D又平D, 因為以我所知得 "healthbaby" 一間有儲存臍帶血庫? 你地將來會唔會 keep BB 臍帶血 lei?

有乜意見可分享吓?

臍帶血可以治療的病有急性/慢性白血病,巴瘤, 血液病症, 先天性免疫系統病症等等..... 如touchwood有事, 要進行臍帶血移植, 詳情你要問agent or C+醫生, 我已忘記了! sorry.

You can call their agent for more info. and registration. Service Hotline: 2110 2121. My experience is that the agent can go over to your place to explain to you and do the registration if you wish, so no need for you to travel.

I suggest you do the registration 1 month before your due date. They will provide you with a sealed box containing the cordblood storage equipment. What you need to do is to bring this sealed box with you when you give birth at hospital and your C+ doctor will do it for you. Ask your husband to call Cryolife for collecting the cordblood as soon as your bb is born. The agent will provide you a no. to call. From my experience, they come to collect very quickly.

讓我試下解答你們的問題.
1) 不是全部政府醫院都有得儲臍帶血, 如有的你要填定紅十字會ge表格先, 重要睇你生的時間, 而且你bb的臍帶血是要捐的, 不是留給自己bb.
2)私人儲臍帶血有Cryolife, Healthbaby and Cordlife. Cryolife歷史最久, 其實它們的服務都大同小異, 但是$$就不同. 我最後選擇Cryolife, 因為它價錢最抵, 而且有1-yr, 5-yr, 10-yr and 18-yr plan選擇, 比較flexible. 我選擇5-yr plan, total HK$16,000; 五年後如果想繼續儲, 可以再付款 (1 yr, 5 yrs, etc), 不另外收費.
3)我選擇5-yr plan是因為agent suggest, 她解釋bb如果有問題, 通常都會五歲前發生; 五歲後如果不想keep, 可以捐卑人, 當做善事.
4)其他兩間以我所知就只得18-yr plan...貴d...其實都唔需要keep 咁長, 18年後都唔知變成點!

我都有諗過儲臍帶血, 但係睇完今個報紙既報導, 原來唔係間間醫院都可以捐.
