I used to just carry baby when going out. But now, he is getting more heavy and it is hard to just carry him.

Do you use a baby carrier, sling or stroller? If you are using carrier or sling, which is good for bigger babies (my baby is 7 months and weighing 17 pounds)?

Hey, you can manage the techno xt by yourself? I found it quite heavy. But Maclaren seems really stable - more stable than Combi I think. I am still 15/16....

Anyway, I will check out the hipseat with sling in Yau Ma Tei - I think that may solve the problem for me. My baby has skin allergy on his thighs, so those bjoin carriers (front carriers) are no good for him. Also, $3xx is good price for carrier - when I looked around, all the carriers are over $5xx, some even close to $8xx!!

I just saw the hip seat (without sling) in Bumps to Babes - $688.

Littlebd - you use Combi stroller, right? Do you find it too easy to flip? I checked out the Maclaren ones today - apparently they are more stable than Combi - but I find it too heavy for me to carry on my own PLUS baby and baby bag. Apparently Combi ones are lighter, but easy to flip. Please share what you think and also the model you use.

I also heard that Combi is a little flimsy - thats why I didn't buy it before - but now, my baby is bigger and I really want something light that I can handle it on my own when I go out on my own....

I have looked at the different sling and carriers....but I am thinking...my baby is getting heavier and I am not sure for how long more I can carry him with sling/carrier (Although the instructions say some are up to 30 lbs, but imagine....30lbs on carrier....)

Do you think I should instead buy a light combi stroller? I have a capella one but it is more heavy and it is good for going for long trip, coz it can lie down flat for baby to sleep like in bed. But if I just go out on my own, I cannot handle the capella stroller PLUS baby PLUS baby bag.

Any experience to share? Can you use a combi stroller on your own when going out?

hi littlebd, which japanese brand's hipseat are you using? it seems better w/ the sling option. also do you remember the location of the shop you bought it from? thanks!

I bought one recommended by a BK mother and the hipseat was from Japan, very similar to the hipseat in the website as above but you can use it as sling as well.
