When you want use single server for file sharing, print sharing, website, e-mail and fax, it recommend Quad-Core Xeon server, 4GB Memory. If you search for Dell PowerEdge 1900, the price around HK$16,500 for single 160GB HDD (not include Server OS, AntiVirus software, UPS and data backup). But recommend but 2 more HDD and config as RAID-5 set. It can increase the data storage and can protect the data when HDD was failure. For the server OS, you can use Windows Server 2003 SBE and the price around HK$8,300 (include 10 client access license “Device”). For the AntiVirus program, you can select Symantec AntiVirus and the price aroundHK$3,600 (but this not include for mail server checking). UPS around HK$5,500 for 2200VA. For the data backup, it recommend, LTO2 tape backup device and Symantec BackupExec software, the price around HK$29,460 (include Exchange server backup). Anyway, the price is for reference and most of the price is list price. You may get lower when you search from local reseller.
